Maybe. Do you have any suggestions for more realistic actions?

Oof It feels as though it’s in opposition to a Victorian notion of a Working Class. I’m in my 60’s so my perception is doubtless outdated. It includes things like accent, education, politics, profession & which foods you buy & at which chain of supermarket you do your weekly shop. Seems silly now 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

As a practical matter, isn’t it like putting the proverbial toothpaste back in the tube? If I were a SNAP excipient whose card suddenly had the regular amt I’d be at the store asap. How are states supposed to deal with that? States need to sue. USDA sent a letter telling states to proceed & some did

I wouldn’t have the inclination to continue either if I were you. Plant your flag & stand on any assertion that is supported by the facts. Political affiliation has nothing to do with it. Happy Halloween 🎃

Hmm…change of subject not a great sign of a productive discussion. She did say that but the quote is missing big chunks & context. The house ACA was posted in the usual places for a long while before this & the senate didn’t have much to show. It’s good to have a shared reality or it’s just futile.

The immediate solution in this case is that R’s need to compromise. The bbb has draconian cuts to social programs that Dems can’t live with. At the very least the administration can obey the 2 fed judges orders to tap into the $5-6B contingency fund to bridge until a compromise has been reached.

Yes, Rep Clark shouldn’t have said it but who regularly votes for SNAP/other programs that benefit those in need? Ending the ACA subsidies is also leverage. Leverage involves people. Welcome to politics. We are all open to a better system.

Asked the main reason for their frustration, the dominant response of frustrated Democrats (41%) is that the party has not pushed back hard enough against the Trump administration. (Survey conducted pre-shutdown)
