When we're getting freezing rain, I always check the #NovaScotiaPower outage site to see if there are any issues. So far so good. In the Bridgewater area, there's an outage effecting 20 customers. Why am I mentioning it? It started on December 21 and is not due to be restored until January 23. WTF!!

Good morning, peeps. I have been using #Windy.com for timely weather forecasts for a while now. They have a paid version that has some perks. Anyone use the paid version. Are the additional features worth $35 a year?

Our landlord decided to cap the heat at 23 last fall. Because the windows actually radiate cold, it doesn't generally get above 22 so I've had to start using space heaters. That should jack the electric bill up pretty good but it IS a fairly comfortable 24 in the LR & Kevin's room at the moment.

I'm amazed. Boxing day sales start today and the HSC even opened early for them. Here it is 10:30 and there's very little traffic on Mumford. I remember the days when folks would line up overnight to get a cheap TV or game console at Future Shop in Bayers Lake.
