The amount is meaningless — less than one day of salary. But the principle is important: once the armed services are paid by the oligarchs, they become a private militia, and we no longer have a country.

This is not hard.

Who put Roberts on the Supreme Court?

Leonard Leo spent 35 years and $600 million creating the 6-3 Opus Dei court - which is doing exactly what it was created to do - undo the 250 year old Catholic heresy that is democracy.

A must listen! Great job to Greg for talking to Ming and gettin her story out.
Ming Li Hui, who has lived in a Missouri town for 20 years, is getting deported. This has shocked and angered the locals, many of whom back Trump.

She spoke to us on our podcast straight from jail. She broke down in tears and made a wrenching appeal.

Trump and Musk's dismantling of government "has a very familiar smell to it. It’s the stench of the kind of vulture capitalism that has demolished newsrooms across the country in a quest for greater revenue for shareholders." New from @justinglawe.bsky.social:

There is a reason that the actual federal faucet has always been controlled by apolitical bureaucrats.

Having a president (or an unelected billionaire) with direct, granular control of a quarter of all U.S. spending is power beyond the Founders’ wildest dreams. 10/x

78 years old and feeling much the same especially for my grandchildren. They will never know.
75 yo and seeing everything I fought decades for wiped out in 5 days. I don’t know if I’m more angry or heart broken. I swing back and forth. Knowing I don’t have too much more time here, I find myself saying to the wind “I’m so sorry for you who will be left”

The Supreme Court ruled corporations were allowed to donate unlimited amounts to politicians in 2010.

It only took them 6 years to take complete control of the government and 15 years to mark sure their voices are the only ones the masses ever hear again.
