Governor Mills could have signed LD 1971 into law last June. Instead, she delayed until a few weeks ago and it won’t be enforced for months.

She could have protected Mainers against ICE. But she didn’t.

That’s not leadership. That’s just Susan Collins with a D next to her name.

ICE and CBP now have a larger budget than all local and state law agencies in the country combined.

This administration does not care about law and order. They only want fascism and fear.

We will not back down from ICE’s lawless attacks on our neighbors.

I’m in Lewiston today at a massive rally to fight for what we all know is right. ICE needs to be dismantled.

Today I am angry.

Kidnapping. Abductions. Using violence against the innocent. Destroying their property. Holding them against their will. Murder.

All crimes being committed by federal agents.

We wanted to cancel our two events today in Kittery with the storm bearing down.

Our people insisted we stay the course.

Susan Collins could never.

On our IVF journey, Amy and I are very fortunate to be able to choose, freely, to pursue parenthood.

Today’s anniversary of Roe v. Wade is a grim reminder that freedom of choice has been stripped from millions of women – thanks to Susan Collins's decisive vote for Brett Kavanaugh.

Susan Collins's constituents are being dragged out of their homes and workplaces. They're being taken off the street.

And Senator Collins is at this moment negotiating to hand ICE another nine billion dollars.

Obscene.

Maine is reeling from ICE’s latest assault. Those incarcerated, and their families, need our support.

I’m asking you, if you have anything to spare, to consider contributing to the Maine Immigrants’ Rights Coalition.

See reply for link, and please spread this far and wide.

Fifty-three years ago, Roe v. Wade gave women the right to choose.

Susan Collins vowed to be pro-choice, then voted to confirm the Supreme Court justices who took that right away.

Maine women deserve a Senator who will stop Trump's anti-abortion agenda, not enable it.

If we had passed FDR's Economic Bill of Rights in 1944 like we should have, we would not live in the America we live in today. We would live in a vastly more just, fair, and prosperous society.

Democrats under FDR swept into power, passed Social Security, rebuilt the economy, protected unions, and won a working-class majority for a generation.

Modern Democratic leaders can't even raise the minimum wage.

With our next majority let's pass Medicare for All. For starters.

At this very moment ICE is dragging Mainers out of their homes, terrorizing communities across the state. They're calling it "Operation Catch of the Day."

It is disgusting.

Maine will fight. We will fight for our neighbors and for the people we love.

We cannot whitewash the legacy of MLK, Jr. Today we remember the scope of his battle against racism in all its manifestations: from Jim Crow, to militarism, to his final battle: supporting Black sanitation workers in Memphis, striking against terrible and deeply racist working conditions.

Amy and I realize IVF isn’t a topic many people discuss publicly, let alone when you’re running for U.S. Senate. But our story of infertility is just one among many.

We know we aren’t the only people struggling with this. And we don’t want anyone else to feel alone in it either.
