Yeah, that seems fine.

I also had my annual OBGyn appointment today, and all 4 of these abscess/fistula procedures happened since my last appointment with her, so I filled her in, and she enjoyed a chance to tell me that my fistula is one of the easiest to treat, followed by a few horror stories about much worse types.

I went for 3 hours on Monday, and I was just angry for the last hour. Today I skipped because I bled so much on Tuesday and was in too much pain to sleep that night. I am giving myself permission to skip tomorrow too — nothing happens to me if I don’t go. I need to heal.

It was my son’s first time taking these tests, and he got “masters” in both math and reading - he “mastered” rather than just “met” grade level expectations. I was worried that his type of ADHD might make standardized testing more difficult.

Anyway, I got them both giant milkshakes about it.

I repurposed my protest sign as a yard sign. The turnout in my smallish Texas suburb was pretty good — 500+ people — and I’m really glad I went. It made me more hopeful. There were a lot of supportive honks from passersby in cars and no counter-protesters.

I’ve seen estimates closer to 12 million worldwide, but I don’t know how they calculated that

I haven’t played Sims 4 much (I prefer Sims 3), and never with that expansion pack, so I was just guessing, but it does seem like something witches would do in a Sims game.

I once stood in line behind Dirk Nowitzki at a movie theater while buying popcorn. Definitely the tallest human I’ve ever seen IRL.

So, now we can both go - yay! I’m not worried about police in the town where we live, just possibly some counter-protesters. I might go to one in downtown Dallas, and that one might be more risky even though it’s early in the day.

That sounds pretty comfortable actually. The pregnancy pillow is a must! I’ve got one now even though it’s been nearly a decade since I was last pregnant.

The ADHD and autism in my brain are always squabbling about this. The Type A organizer who loves routine vs. the chaos gremlin who wants to be surrounded by her treasure like a dragon sitting on its hoard.

…is she sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag, or is she at least in a cot or something? My back hurts just thinking about camping while pregnant.

Oh no, I’m sorry.

That was not painful for me at all, and while I didn’t expect to be manhandled as much as I was, it didn’t faze me because lactation consultants were much more aggressive there. However, if I had never breastfed, it would have been much more awkward.

I’m in my cape and ready to go. When the receptionist asked me if I was nervous about it being painful, I said, “No, I breastfed 2 kids,” and she said, “Oh, yeah, piece of cake then,” and I answered, “Yeah, at least no one will bite me this time.” Just have to turn the awkwardness to 11.

That is actually comforting

I’ve heard that happens a lot with the first one. It will probably still make me anxious.

Oh yeah, same on the squish
