I repurposed my protest sign as a yard sign. The turnout in my smallish Texas suburb was pretty good — 500+ people — and I’m really glad I went. It made me more hopeful. There were a lot of supportive honks from passersby in cars and no counter-protesters.

My chaotic gremlin brain is so soothed by this new makeup organizer in my bathroom. I have too much makeup - including a lot of free samples from various brands - and the chaos was beginning to overflow.

Look at all of the many medications she prescribed for me. I am hoping to avoid the opioid - I would rather have some pain than the nausea and constipation that come with hydrocodone, even with meds to address those.

I got myself a bike two years ago and never really rode it because the kids kept throwing such fits whenever we tried to teach them to ride without training wheels. This week they have finally gotten the hang of it, and we actually rode together all over the neighborhood. 🥰

My daughter’s room gets the best direct sunlight, and Clio has been angry for days bc of the rain; she wants us to summon her sunbeams! Today she started rattling the window shade until we opened it for her. Now she is finally enjoying a sunbeam with Fry.

We’re at my in-law’s house in West Texas, and this is my son’s favorite chair because he thinks the stain on it looks like Baymax. “I want to sit in the Baymax chair!”

A few months ago, I finally paid off my car. On Thursday on my way to work, I was in a 3 car pile up, rear ended at a stop light right after the light turned green. The silver car hit the red car, who then hit me. My car is in the shop, and I’m driving a rental that is a newer version of my RAV4.

Tomorrow I have a colonoscopy followed by a… related surgery. Today I am allowed to consume only clear liquids and Miralax as I clear my system. This is my cup of chicken broth.

My sister made me a beautiful book quilt for my birthday; I love it! A lot of the fabric used for the books came from scraps she saved from outfits she made for my kids. 🥰

He just sent me a picture of the cake. I’m excited to try it tonight. I decided to celebrate my 40th birthday by going to a cabin in the woods near a state park with mountains and hiking. My kids are excited because their bedroom is a loft with their own set of stairs that are like a ladder.

We are going to try and find a new home for Kat’s haunted dollhouse. It doesn’t get played with, and it takes up a lot of space.

I haven’t yet been able to persuade NYX to let me sell their stuff for a commission on TikTok shop, but I have bought these Jumbo eye pencils in 10 different colors just because I love lazy eyeshadow. I’ve got the Iced Mocha on now; I love them.
