Construction is ramping up on the Texas Christian University campus, with nearly half a billion dollars in new construction set to significantly expand on-campus housing capacity.

A band of bas-relief running horses is taking shape on the façade of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame's expansion. The 16,000-square-foot, $19.7 million addition, set to open in November 2026, will introduce a new entrance, a larger gift shop, and expanded exhibit areas.

Excavation for the Cook Children's Health Care System’s West Tower is nearly complete. The 700,000-sq ft addition will significantly expand the hospital's capacity, adding Cardiac ICU, NICU, and pediatric ICU beds, and new space for other services including new operating rooms and imaging services.

Due to the new schedules, we now have info on what transfers will be like between the Silver Line and TEXRail. During 30-minute service levels, it's only a 4 min layover eastbound and a 5 min layover westbound between the two services at North DFW Airport Station.

Phase 1 of the Fort Worth Convention Center, encompassing renovated loading docks and a new southeast entrance, is expected to be completed by December 2025. On the interior, a new kitchen and tasting room opened in May. Funding for the $95M project comes from ARPA and Culture and Tourism Fund.

The Armour Building, formerly known as the Serum Albumin Building, is the last remaining remnant of the Armour Plant. Fort Worth-based architect Bennett Partners led the design for the transformation of the 50,000-square-foot, three-story mid-century building into modern office space.
