Funny story time! #bikechi
So I'm heading home from the dentist ripping East on North Ave with a beautiful tailwind. Suddenly I hear someone laying on the horn and see an SUV coming down the expressway off-ramp trying to merge into me. I have to stop pedaling to avoid the dickhead from running 1/🧵

Strava getting ready for an IPO, suing Garmin. Pretty sure Strava are the ones putting in these bots that I keep getting notifications for. The enshitification of everything continues.

I hate Americans. Just saw a post asking for recommendations of treats to try in the US and this motherfucker goes "yerba mate". I'm thinking hmm that's weird that's a South American plant that you make essentially tea with why is that associated with the US? This is what they were recommending.

Even in the suburbs cars are incompatible with safety. Ambulance stuck for minutes because the school bus can't get out of the way

ICE shot and killed a person in Franklin Park(a near west suburb of Chicago) today, only a few blocks from my route home. We knew this would happen with these masked thugs stopping vehicles weapons drawn, easy for someone to panic and try to get away. May this agent never know peace.

Funniest weather today. Melrose Park is completely flooded. Had to circle around, ride curbs and nail some bunny hops to get out dry. The North Ave viaduct has 4 feet of standing water so it's completely closed. As soon as I got north of North Ave barely even a puddle anywhere. #bikechi

The Long diverter at Addison is finally in place! More hardening to be completed still but no more cut-through drivers speeding along one of the most park-dense streets in the entire city. Many fought for changes including @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social @bikegridnow.org @unitednwside.bsky.social 1/2

Fuck. He just lost the next parliamentary elections. If you're going to pander don't fuck up the dish for fuck's sake. The strawberries and sour cream are supposed to be blended. Maybe some strawberries on top. It ain't hard. Also, I know it's bad to have the TV too high, but you've gone too far.

That's a whole can of worms for English speakers. It'd probably be best done like this:
M: same as in English
o: as in "hot"
d: same as in English
rz: similar to the "s" in "measure"
e: as in "bed"
j: as the "y" in "yes"
e: as in "bed"
w: as the "v" in "vine"
ski: same as "ski"
Stress would be on w

The rare paint only bike lane. But drivers stick to the center line even when it is currently empty. Passing law here is 1 meter minimum which is ~3 feet 3 inches to the poorly educated.
