I'm finding a lovers' argument hard to write, but it's the story's climax. Their confrontation is set up, and I know how it has to work out, but there be dragons in between. I've resorted to synopsizing the emotional core and walking them into it like a trap they can't escape.

Idiom.

When I was writing "Love is Enough" (www.literotica.com/s/love-is-en...) I found the slang of the 1920's to be familiar. I've noticed since that a lot of the idiom I use came from my parents. Now I wonder if idiom dates my stories to the point that younger readers may not get it. #literotica

It's always the same. If my writing grinds to a halt and I walk away, the next thing I have to do to get restarted is delete the last few paragraphs. I lost my path.
