some weird map of cleveland from the 1800s I found where it has the flats labeled as "Land of Cannons" and Ohio City labeled as "Land of Rifles" I HAVE to believe this was made in the context of the fact the East side is WAAAY older than the West side literally because on the east side is where white colonialists lived so it got developed much more quickly and thoroughly than the West side because native americans were still living there. The west side only got settled many many years after colonists were already living here bc they just eventually killed all of them and stole their land

I’ve only had it since August, but I love this lil’ guy! I’ve never weighed it, but I think it’s somewhere between 12 and 15lbs. It’s crazy how something so small can bring me so much joy 🥹
my current main bike. It’s made by a brand called Magna, which if you know anything about bikes in the US, you know is the extremely cheap low-end Chinese manufacturer that exclusively sells through big box stores like Walmart and Target. I bought mine second hand from a local bike shop, but that’s all it is- a Walmart bike I put some mid level parts on. The frame is white and made of steel, which honestly is perfect (for me at least) considering I stripped it down to only around 12-15 lbs, so I legitimately do need the weight on days like these when it’s cold and windy so I don’t go flying off over the Lorain/Carnegie bridge. It’s got some nitto bullhorns I still haven’t gotten around to putting bar tape on. My official reason for why I keep them like that is “I can’t decide on a color” but if I’m being honest, I kind of just like how it looks. It really hurts my hands though lol! I could probably talk your ear off about every single component on this thing and why it was chosen. I know it’s not much to look at, but every inch of this was intentional and had thought put into it. That actually might be kind of embarrassing now that I’m thinking about it 😅

a couple of weeks ago I was talking to this older guy at a bar and I forget how it came up, but we started talking about this local band called 100,000 Leagues Under My Nutsack.
