I mean a lot of evangelicals don’t actually go to church or engage with their faith in a meaningful way other than identity, and I think these are the ones who are already there. And there are plenty of pastors without any real oversight or education spreading these ideas

Maybe hardliners wouldn’t, but today‘s mainstream evangelicals accept capitalist tech hook, line, and sinker. The only thing they really demonize these days are immigrants and LGBTQ people and other progressive ideas.
