ICE just denied our congressional oversight visit to the basement of the courthouse in San Diego today. But we’re not going to stop showing up and asking questions — because it’s our job.

There's money for new Park Signs. Why hasn't Pendleton Park gotten one yet? www.sandiegouniontribune.com/2025/10/26/a...
A fallen San Diego officer once patrolled this park. The place is now named for him.
Hundreds celebrated the official renaming of a Clairemont recreation area to Officer Austin Machitar Memorial Park.

my question for ahmari: the federal reserve is subject to democratic control — congress can, whenever it chooses, alter the terms of fed independence. how and why is the unilateral authority of the president, exercised outside of rule if law, more democratic than congress’s legitimate authority?
Trump Must Lose the Second Bank War
Henry Clay understood what was wrong with the unitary executive theory back in the 1830s.

One of these men is Black. He's not a soldier, but an enslaved valet, along to tend his soldier-owner. He's shown as eager and proud - an example of the "Lost Cause" myth of the "loyal slaves" who supported slavery because they knew their (inferior) place and were happy there.
