Remember how in 2020 centrists closed ranks to prevent the progressive wing of the party from winning? What’s happening now is a direct result of this maneuver. Biden failed so miserably to deliver, the voters crucified Harris. Corporate donors must get out of the way and let progressives win.
Fits in perfectly with the structural demographics of a shrinking white population. White Americans erroneously believe the only solution is a settler apartheid state like Israel. The majority of America will prevail against this minority apartheid mindset behind the denial of voting rights.
He wants to ban electronic voting machines because it's easier to rig an election with paper ballots, especially if you control who counts them. #ElectionRigging101

The corporate media refuses to talk about how behind all these bluffing and huffing smokescreens Americans are getting bilked, squeezed, and crushed by real policies rammed through government to facilitate the further enrichment of Wall Street’s largest shareholders.
I was just in Japan for two weeks, and learned a lot from talking Japanese policy wonks about the "strategic ambiguity" at the heart of the US-Japan trade deal, and what this reveals is -- and isn't -- in a number of the President's "deals."

Just like a typical long-eared and long-fanged vampire, Rubio has no clue how precipitously his prognostications will result the demise of the neocon gambit.
The State Department is proposing requiring applicants for business and tourist visas to post a bond of up to $15,000 to enter the United States, a move that may make the process unaffordable for many.

When any ideology begins using epistemicide as a tool in its toolbox, all ideological camps are prevented from battling for hegemony. This generates an unsustainable (and fascistic) absolutism. Trump is a dead star that will collapse from its own narcissistic mass into a black hole.
Trump on why he fired the person in charge of jobs reports: "We didn't believe the numbers today."
August 2, 2025 at 12:57 AM
Anybody noticing a pattern with Cuomo & Biden? There's a huge landslide of opposition to centrists coming from BOTH the right AND the left. The collapse of centrism puts the leadership of the Dem party within reach of progressives. As Trump's policies inevitably backfire, a path to power opens up.
Mamdani: I would say that for the former governor to have spent an entire day speaking almost exclusively about me and barely about the New Yorkers who have been killed is indicative of the very politics New Yorkers want to leave in the past.

So much of what the states of Israel and the US are doing to the Palestinians are horrific echoes of what the US did to Native Peoples. Dominion through brutal conquest, elimination, assimilation, and exploitation. It has never ended thanks to (not despite) liberal veneers.
July 27, 2025 at 3:57 PM
How can these so-called leaders denounce the Nazi extermination of Jews, Roma, and others and at the very same moment turn a blind eye to the mass murder and starvation of Palestinians? Truly two-faced and despicable.
Gaza is becoming an extermination camp and the world is 🤐

While the crimes committed by death squads in Latin America were carried out in secret, the collective sadism and heinous amorality of this administration is being carried out in the open, taking the pathological behavior to an even higher level of brazen illegality.
A key aspect of a concentration camp is that they detain people indefinitely who are not charged with a crime with no opportunity to challenge their detention. This is what immigration detention is.

Millions of undocumented immigrants will no longer be eligible for bond hearings, according to ICE memo
The new policy change was announced in a memo last week from the acting ICE Director Todd Lyons. The memo was described to ABC News.

When you see the connection between increasing income inequality and increasing government corruption, you have to conclude that
the super rich have built a virtually impenetrable moat around themselves. The longer it takes to flood the castle the bigger the grassroots groundswell Dem or 3rd party.
New polling shows that 52% of Americans say “a major third party is needed."

But only 7% would be very likely to support Elon Musk’s “America Party” candidate.

And the corporate media wanted us to believe Abu Ghraib was an aberration, but we can see there are thousands of people out there like Lynndie England, Sabrina Harman, and Charles Graner. They must all be prosecuted for the sadistic maltreatment of unlawfully apprehended detainees.
These are crimes against humanity, this is deeply inhumane and evil beyond belief, cruelty is their goal.
July 21, 2025 at 6:43 PM
This raises the question of why–after the doubling over the last 2 decades of the 1%'s share of income–the Democratic leadership has not done one meaningful thing about the problem of income inequality. Something is deeply wrong. Could it be that the whole darn barrel is rotten?
July 20, 2025 at 10:39 PM
The problem of political polarization is not because of the left or the right. It's the pseudo dem centrists who pretend to hold the center while actually catering to big money on the right creating a massive crisis of legitimacy perfectly reflected in last year's election landslide.
"A lot of our establishment Democrats do and say more about progressives and folks who are trying to enter this party with new and fresh ideas than they do against Trump and Republicans," @chiosse.bsky.social says in this no-holds-barred Q&A. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

New Yorkers are demonstrating to the rest of the country they will not be bought by the fat cats and their minions. A fired-up progressive Gen Z is taking this example and filling the vacuum created by a tired old centrist gerontocracy.
I'm thrilled to welcome the support of four distinguished members of the NYC Council who have worked to protect our public resources, improve quality of life, and create safer, more affordable neighborhoods.

Thank you Shekar Krishnan, Rita Joseph, Pierina Sanchez and Shaun Abreu!

The scapegoating of immigrants is nothing more than an age-old ideological weapon which has no basis in reality except in a tiny minority of white supremacists. The media exaggerates anti-immigrant bigotry and sycophants pretend the country as a whole hates immigrants. It’s all one huge fabrication.
Wow — New Gallup poll:

— Trump approval on immigration: 35-62 (!)

— Record high approval of immigration (79-17 overall)

— 78% of people support a pathway to citizenship (+8 from 2024); only 38% support mass deportation (-9 from 2024)

— 30% want a decrease in immigration (-25 from 2024)

Since 2000, the US dollar's share of world foreign exchange reserves has fallen an average of 0.56% per year. The greatest drop was 5.02% from 2001 to 2002 when the War on Terror began. The greatest gain was 3.9% between 2013 and 2014. When will US dollar no longer be the dominant reserve currency?

Part of a larger and very calculated effort to prevent a massive backlash of voters in the midterms because of the bill that just passed by dividing the older voters (who vote a lot) against the rest of the electorate. Dirty Republican politics being disseminated as government communications.

As AI tech results in lay offs, will electricity consumption by businesses increase? Could energy costs track the rate of unemployment?
Just a reminder that trump was the only president in the last 100 years to have an overall negative job creation during his term of office.

Looks like we can expect history to repeat itself…

Will the millions of white-collar middle-class liberals finally get radicalized as AI tech dumps them into the precariat. Is it too late for them to engage the new authoritarian state as they attempt to take back democracy?
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

If history tells us anything, this crowning achievement of neoliberalism was the handiwork as much of corporate dems as republicans going back to Clinton’s attacks on social protections. The way out is to move toward progressive policies addressing affordability, not failed centrist incrementalism.
BREAKING: House Republicans passed Trump’s deadly & dangerous budget bill.

Over 17 million Americans will lose health care. Millions more will struggle to put food on the table.

The ultra-wealthy are the only winners in this budget.

It's a dark day in America.

The global community appears powerless to stop these ongoing heinous war crimes by US-Israel because the US empire still maintains the edge in economic and military hegemony. But that hegemony is dissipating, tragically and maddeningly not soon enough to prevent slaughter and mass murder.

Capitalism is only working for the wealthy. If AI tech were in the hands of workers, AI integration would be handled differently.
Microsoft is about to lay off another 9,000 workers.

This news follows two waves of layoffs in May and June, where Microsoft fired more than 6,000 employees.

The company made $88 billion in profits last year.

Something is deeply wrong with these immigrant-hating bigots. The sadism is obscene. They know it and they get off on it. It's getting more difficult to find proper comparisons other than the death squads of military dictatorships of the 1960s and 1970s or the colonialists of 19th century Africa.
It’s easier to build concentration camps than hospitals because you don’t have to worry about the safety of the occupants.

How did we get to this unbelievable horror show? What was the road paved with in Germany that led to Hitler's appointment as Chancellor? Was it a series of capitulations by conservatives and liberals to the NSDAP and the failure of these leaders to ally with the left and allow it to stop the NSDAP?
The fact that Zohran Mamdani scares the shit out of MAGA is proof Dems should stand behind him. Wake the fuck up, Dem leadership.

This a concentration camp managed by ICE-DHS, a direct organizational descendant of the Schutzstaffel (SS) and the Inspectorate of Concentration Camps (IKL), headed by Theodor Eicke, Richard Glücks and Heinrich Himmler, and now headed by Himmler's modern day protégés Todd Lyons and Kristi Noem.
