Dilla Month is almost over 🍩 So I figured why not close it with my recreation of a classsic. Fun fact: I played live bass and recreated the iconic Singers Unlimited sample for “Players”

Definitely one of the more underrated beats in Jay Dee’s discography “Pregnant (T3)” off of Fantastic Vol 1 just has that X factor about it. I knew once I heard the swirling Rhodes and the Tambourine I was hooked. Check my whole tribute set on my YouTube!

the major label system doesn't really speak to rap fans over 35. it's chasing tiktok teens and goading 20-somethings who can max out their credit cards at rolling loud.
underground rap, on the other hand, is out here thriving across generations, with compelling sounds for the youth and grown folks.
