I get the frustration. It’s easy to feel like “stupid voters” are ruining the country. But it’s worth reviewing why limiting who gets to vote might feel satisfying—but would actually be a terrible idea. 🧵

Russia’s claim to Ukraine is like demanding a refund for a gift you willingly gave away 30 years ago. When the U.S. took land from Mexico, it wasn’t handed over willingly. If Russia’s claim is legitimate, then that land should immediately be returned/ or restitution should be made.
