AMAB, but whatever's fine. Pan, but not interested(sorry, this one's taken). Nearly Ace, but filthier than most of you animals.

Both my mood and connective tissue are disordered. 🦓 #pEDS #BPD #cPTSD
But also, if sweatpants is your favorite childish Gambino music video, you're going to love this one for completely different reasons.

It's going to be a miracle if that man doesn't go broke trying to renovate all those dilapidated properties. Whatever tax breaks he's getting won't even begin to add up to The money pit he's bought into.

The city of Shreveport sold its Urban blight problem to 50 cent. Let's see what he does...

Well, he bought a dilapidated studio the city has been trying to offload for years, and a lot of other crumbling properties.

He's no real estate mogul, there's just whole chunks of Shreveport they've let fall to shit, and he thinks he can make money off them.

We'll see...

Living in shreveport, I'm going to say we definitely have more of a Sodom and Gomorrah vibe.

Both cities are full of sinners. Only difference is, Shreveport has all the fun sins.

Oh, absolutely. You're guaranteed to be cutting a good 6 months off of your total lifespan every time you visit one of these things, but damn it, it's worth it every time. Who wants to live to their 70s anyways?

Between Boudin balls, Nachitoches meat pies, and the occasional crawfish egg roll, if a Louisiana gas station has one of these mfs next to the register, you're in for a good meal.

If I can add something to your playlist, creekbed Carter Hogan has been one of my Alt country/bluegrass adjacent acts lately, and I think you'll like him.

As someone who's lived in Shreveport for the past 10 years or so, I love Red River radio. The hyperlocal programming is fantastic. There's this old dude that comes on once a week or so, and tells you about local bird calls. He's a delight.

LSUS is something of a lifeline for it right now, tho.

Stephen King wrote a whole book, On Writing, and all of his advice came down to exactly that.

There might be 600 great words in 10,000. You got to dig through till you find them, though. No other way.

That weasely little shitheel always delights me when he shows up. I love how much his scrunched, pained little face was born to play a henchman that can't wait to backstab his shitty boss.

So, if I understand you properly, Daredevil: born again is ultimately why we have this as a bit

A Nice Indian Boy was a pretty solid film this year with a very limited release. If you get a chance, y'all should check it out.

But I think the fact that you said Daredevil so close to someone else bringing up Ninja turtles does show that your argument has legs.

Let me reframe it this way; I started with a gif of THAT bike skid, to show one way other artists were influenced by Akira.

Where does Daredevil's influence show?

I feel like Gary sinise might be one of the few folks I would give a pass to on that. The dude seems to consistently put his money where his mouth is, and puts his mouth to work raising money for vets.

I feel like he's got more class than that, though.

All right, say less. That's enough to send me hunting the stacks of my local library for a copy to borrow.

If nothing else, I'm curious to see why you would choose this comic over, say, Watchmen or The Dark Knight Rises, or even The Killing Joke, if I may invoke Alan Moore again

Someone else suggested Daredevil, and, honestly, turtles lose there, because TMNT was written directly in response to it. Hell, it's implied in the comics that the same ooze that blinded Matt Murdock mutated the turtles.

TMNT did make a big splash, but it's all downstream from Daredevil.

What's really funny is that someone quote posted this saying teenage mutant Ninja turtles. Which, while I would admit is a solid contender, owes about half it's DNA to Daredevil.

That being said, I'll admit to being more of a Spider-Man fan than a Daredevil one, so I'd love to hear more.

I make the argument silksong is the exception here. An indie game, made by a very small team, absolutely devoid of crunch or massive advertising campaigns, with more content than most AAA games, at 1/3 the price.

Team Cherry is doing everything right, and the other guys could stand to take notice.
