But for me, fat is a value neutral descriptor. It’s not a negative, it’s just a fact.

Describing myself as fat in the image description isn’t me being unkind to myself, it’s just using words to describe reality.

Cross disability solidarity is so important. If your first thought is “why are they treating me like an addict” and not “holy shit drug users and mentally ill folks are treated so horrendously” I urge you to re-evaluate your lens of disability to include psychiatric survivors and Mad community.

Like “they’re treating me like a drug seeker it’s not fair.”

You know what’s not fair? The way psych patients are treated by default. You have experienced just a sliver of what it’s like to be in the psychiatric system. It’s a whole different can of worms than solely physical medical care.
