If you’re lucky. Some would pathologize it, continue to use psychiatry’s weapons against us. They’d say it’s codependency or trauma bonding. It’s been twelve years. I still google your name plus “obituary”. I don’t know if you’re still alive. Wearing paper scrubs feels like being naked. It’s cold. Without your warmth I might not have made it. Still, you are there. Holding me as I shake and sweat. You in your paper scrubs, as naked as I. As hurt, and as broken. Your arms on my shoulders. We are kin. I wish we were never here. I’m glad we were here together

Don’t Hesitate By Mary Oliver If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still, life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happens better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb.

Mouse got her annual vet appointment today! She’s in great health for her age :)
Also I shaved my head and I’m quite pleased with it. It’s lovely to touch and so much easier to care for.

Having bad side effects from a steroid I’m taking so I haven’t had much to say today. But I was delighted by the view out the window this morning.

A cozy snow day today :)

Quite pleased with how this crochet raglan sweater is coming along!!

It’s been an unseasonably warm November so far (gee I wonder why…)

Okay, first impressions of Hobbii’s tea time yarn as a beginner crocheter: it works up beautifully and nicely, but is impossible to frog (it rips and breaks). It’s helping me learn to be very careful with my stitches though! It’s very soft especially for acrylic. I like it so far!
