I feel it has a big portion of jobs on the tech market right now that put AI in the description just to justify low salaries…

It’s very frustrating to ask for 40k/y today (entry salary that is still the same than the last 10 year btw) and get respond like: You ask for too much..

A saddening reality, but predictable. With all those "missions", store incitatives and basic features locked behind absurd subscription fees like just a *picture* for your banner instead of a color, Discord is owned by money ogres.

I really don't want to have to migrate to a new platform again, but it wouldn't be the first time.
The worst part is that I doubt this survey, no matter how overwhelmingly against AI the results are, will actually change Discord's decision to add AI. They're going to do it. Mark my words.

Classes restart in two weeks and I am uneasy about not returning in classes, but returning to work, with colleages.
I really have broken down in December. Never happened. Yikes. 😨I hope I get better soon, cause this just... sucks.

Image (Art): This is a sketch done traditionally with colour added digitally, featuring Medli from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker game. It features Medli flying in the sky alongside a seagull done in soft colours. I also included a frame around the two of them using colours from Medli's sash and her Sacred Harp as inspiration. I'll do a digital version at some point and fix up a few things. I also used a pose for reference by AdorkaStock. || Artist: yesbutterfly. (Tags included for clarification of subject: art, fanart, medli, thelegendofzelda, windwaker tloz, zelda, sketch ) Image (Art): This is a traditional sketch that I drew, and then scanned in (cleaned up a bit) and added colour to digitally. It features Toon Zelda and Toon Link from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, with the two of them trying to work out where to go next, although Link seems more confused and is pointing at a map whilst looking back around at Zelda, whilst she seems to be trying to work out the problem. As for the map he's holding if you can work it out...well more power to you! Since I just made it random! The background features my (failed,lol) attempt at attempting to replicate the simple version of the map based on an official piece of art, with a few important items scattered around the border, such as a letter, royal engineer's certificate, a piece of heart, hearts, rupees, the compass of light, force gems, the stamp book, some stamps, and a key. I also used a pose for reference for Link by AdorkaStock. || Artist: yesbutterfly. (Tags are included here for clarity of the subject: art, fanart, sketch, thelegendofzelda, tloz, princesszelda, link, toon, spirittracks, zelda) Image (Art): This is an old piece of digital fanart that I did in 2019 of Chrissy and Francine from Animal Crossing using their pre-New Horizons 'designs.' It's just a simple piece with the two characters doing cutesy poses that I thought would be appropriate for their personality types. The background just features a circle, using the contrasting colours from each other (so Francine's blue, is used as the background for Chrissy's section, and the Pink from Chrissy is used for Francine's portion) to compliment the piece, with dots around the edge. I wanted a nice clean feel to the image to make it look like it could be on some sorta merch or something. || Artist: yesbutterfly. (Tags added here for clarity of subject: art, fanart, animalcrossing, chrissy, francine, ac) Image (Art): This is a traditional sketch which I scanned, cleaned up a bit and added colour digitally to, featuring one of Kirby's animal friends Rick who is an hamster-type creature. As stated above, I wasn't entirely sure how to draw his eyes so he's come out looking a bit semi-realistic as a result, which when compared to the other two is hilarious to me. Anyway, seeing as this is a sketch I just sorta drew him standing in a field with grass and a couple of flowers. I also decided to go mad with brushes for this, so it has a very textured feel to it, since for some reason I just couldn't get the right colours for him on the multiply layers, so I got a bit bored and worked on the background instead. I'll start using Bookwyrm more this year I think. What better way to balance English for gaming and French for literature than to have two platforms, one for each? Not like the fediverse can give me anything more than anxiety bursts anyway...

Some concept art I found on the Kirby Wiki page about Susie

Her concept designs are interesting; I wonder what the story would've been like back when the more cat-like design was proposed 🤔
Four sets of concept sketches for Susie. From left to right, one design is taller than the final design for Susie and shapes more like a human woman, though still having hands that float nearby and a body that's rather cone-shaped, ending in a point at the bottom. The next design takes things in a cuter direction, making her shorter and giving her cute hairstyles and a skirt. The next design doesn't look like a robot, looking more like an animal, perhaps a cat, but still with the general shape of floating hands and the body shape trending to a point at the bottom, except with two small feet instead of a point. The fourth design looks a bit closer to the final design for Susie, but is more bulky, and a few more hairstyles are tried, such as a ponytail. Two designs for Susie looking mostly like her final design, but the left one has different eyes that are still blue, but look more like the eyes of a cat, and the right one has more similar eyes to her final design, but her hairpin is removed. More concept sketches for Susie. In these sketches, her head being a sphere floating above the rest of her body and held by a hood-like shape is more pronounced than in her final design.

Coo Sketch

So, to continue the trend, I decided to draw Coo next because I wanted to, and I only originally drew part of the tree. So I just added the leaves in the background with brushes, because it just looked weird being empty.

Kine Sketch

A couple of months back I decided to watch gameplay videos of the Kirby games I've never played, and decided that I'd doodle Kirby's animal friends. Kine is the first one I drew, and thankfully he looks like himself. I'd be worried otherwise.

I do not want to spoil it, but that shown scene... Manga edition. The final page of the Zelda Twilight Princess manga is full of meanings and implications that venture in another reality from the game's and it is marvelous and inspiring in a way.
