Just got back from our local Trader Joes. It's a shit show. Kinda like when covid hit, seems everyone is stocking up on everything. Shelves bare. Welcome to 47! I will not say his name.

Eggs UP
Taxes UP
Gas UP
RX drugs UP
Dow Jones DOWN
Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, ACA, VA all on the chopping block.

Trump was never going to make anyone in America's life easier. In just 2 weeks he's made life harder for everyone except his billionaire friends.

I saw this on Quora and just had to post it here. It is so true, at least for me.

I was just reading Amnesty International's Report on the USA. After reading it, we (USA) look more like a third world country. It's scathing. You can read it here www.amnesty.org/en/location/...

If you haven't yet followed Dr. Reich, I highly recommend it. He's a voice of sanity and clarity in a sea of red hats.

Dr. Reich once again hits it out of the park. Why do we not prosecute sitting presidents? They can be criminals too...

It’s a mistake to think Elon Musk’s fans like him DESPITE him being a mediocre sociopath instead of BECAUSE.
Revolting mob rule, Stalinist, Maoist, fascist, call it what you want, it is disgusting, with the power of the state and social media to mobilize the US version of China's Red Guard to target civil servants, professionals doing their job.

Just saw a WSJ article about Musk and his X followers naming people that work in government offices causing death threats against them. WTF is that? How is that even legal? Why does he get away with it? Oh, wait. He's the wealthiest man on the planet. Doesn't make it right.

The media is a shriveled husk of what it was in 2016. Trump is emboldened and his people have written out a very specific plan project 2025. I hope norms and institutions hold. Trump continues to be extremely volatile and unpredictable.

So...I read in the L.A. Times that Trump does doesn't have the popular vote mandate he thinks he has. The Times says Ms. Harris got 48.24 percent of the popular vote as Mr. Trump (can I call him Mr.?) got 49.89. In my mind, that is NOT a mandate to blow up the government.
