The second to the left on the bottom is Dryodora glandiformis, but otherwise bang-on!

I have seen Haeckelia rubra once though

Well I didn’t make it to 1004 but I did add 126 more to my total so that’t averaging a little over a cteno a day

Happy Docktober! Have one of my favorite nudibranch dock finds. Doto sp (potentially Doto amyra)

Wanted to see if I could get an image I have of Haeckelia rubra to look like it was on a black background but didn't totally figure it out but am interested in dropping the attempt somewhere so here it is side by side with the original.

Look who washed in with the eel grass... it's Dendronotus venustus, the branched dendronotid! #nudibranch 🦑🐙

‼️ Mystery Jelly Incoming ‼️

This itty bitty jelly (~2mm) showed up at my nightlight in the Salish Sea last night and it doesn’t match anything in my local reference book or iNat occurrences for this area.

Have some thoughts, but would love more 🐙🪼🦑

It’s almost Ctenophore Day! I set up a BioBlitz on @inaturalist.bsky.social to celebrate. Spread the word, and let’s see how many people we can get out looking for ctenos!

Love my ocean art but live outside the US or want it in a different format than I offer directly, like a canvas or metal print?

Check out my InPRNT shop! www.inprnt.com/gallery/nonc...

They are running a sale this weekend, with up to 40% off depending on print type. 🦑🐙🐡 #InverteFest

My #InverteFest find of the night yesterday was this Lion’s Mane Nudibranch, Melibe leonina. I love watching them swim 🦑🐙🌿

Which do you like better?

With the piece title and branding? or just with the art?

Had to go say goodbye to the dino exhibit at the PacSci. Recreated one of my childhood photos in the Duckbill footprint. The original image may be lost to time but I remember it.

If you’ll be in Seattle, go say goodbye before the dinos leave forever at end of day September 1st.

On the way over to Friday Harbor last night a Tsunami Warning was issued and we were worried we might not be able to get out to nightlight. Grateful that the potential waves were late enough and low impact enough we could still sneak in some time and be safely home before they’d land.
