~15 years ago I was walking down the sidewalk with my kiddo, who was very young/barely walking. Cornel West was walking toward us. He looked down at my kiddo and gave her the sweetest/warmest smile imaginable. He nodded at me and kept it moving before I could "that guy" him. Smart guy 😆

I was doing OK until yesterday morning, when NPR started playing snippets of Black Messiah and I started crying into my cereal. "Latest album" hits a lot different than "last album" 😭
