In college I had a history prof walk into class slam a potato down & say "this is the most important entity here. There is not one person on this campus or even in this city whose significance to human history will prove to be anywhere close to that of a potato" & ykw gotta admit he was 100% right

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

This breaks my heart 😔
Naomi Beinart, 16: "We girls woke up to a country that would rather elect a man found liable for sexual abuse than a woman...Where the body I haven’t fully grown into may no longer be under my control. The boys, it seemed to me, just woke up on a Wednesday."
Opinion | I’m 16. On Nov. 5 the Girls Cried, and the Boys Played Minecraft.
On the day after the election, it seemed boys and girls woke to a new reality.

My type of ADHD is listening to the same song over and over and over and over until I’m utterly sick of it. Anyway, time to listen to Good Luck, Babe again.
