I think this sentiment kinda misses the point. There are human beings that ARE illegal and that’s the problem: the laws. No human being SHOULD be illegal, but when the state uses the legal system to impose its will, then that’s what ends up happening.

It’s important to realize that if you’re not trans, particularly if you’re a cishet man like I am, you are going to have to fight for your trans loved ones. We’re gonna have to do more than react. Voting and sharing isn’t gonna cut it. People you love are in danger and that should piss you off.

This is the difference between “I can do something about this” and “I can’t do anything about this.” I find one of these attitudes productive and positive and the other one fatalist and negative. Belief in god/the universe is fine as long as that doesn’t cause you to accept oppression as inevitable.
