All of these media conglomerates who bend their knee and pledge fealty to their "King", do so to protect their acquisitions and mergers from a hostile FCC. They serve their board of directors, advertisers and stock holders and not the consumer. The influence we have is our dollars and our attention.

In the US, corporate subsidies receive more government funding than traditional welfare programs for individuals. Studies consistently show that business subsidies, including tax breaks and direct payments, are more than what is allocated to social programs like food stamps and Medicaid.
