ML in Agriculture & intersection with geospatial technologies
- Smart Agriculture/precision farming
- credit risk analysis & financing
-information provision through chatbots

These are just but some of the applications of ML in agriculture

What do each of these terms entail?

ML in geospatial technologies.
ML have revolutionized various industries & the geospatial industry is one that has gained immensely & will continue to

Think of mapping of various features from EO where satellites are continuously taking images of the earth thus updated data

We recently published an open source dataset of building footprints and height estimations for the Global South. It covers ~2 billion buildings and 8 years of data derived from Sentinel 2 imagery.

My deep learning course at the University of Geneva is available on-line. 1000+ slides, ~20h of screen-casts. Full of examples in PyTorch.

The Segment Anything in Lidar (SAL) project, led by Laura Leal-Taixé and her team at NVIDIA, focuses on open-world segmentation and tracking in 3D data, particularly in dynamic real-world scenarios.
SAL is designed as a zero-shot model for segmenting

The following is a list of academics, experts, researchers, and scholars. We call them experts because they have devoted their entire lives to their topics, often at great cost to the other parts of their lives. Listen to them! Thank them! They save lives. They are our Library of Alexandria.
Esri folks are here on BlueSky 🥳 and we are working hard to get the main Esri corporate accounts here too! Thanks to @gletham.bsky.social for this Esri Team starter pack at go.bsky.app/CCn74T5

Now this is what I’m talking about. I love it 🤎🤎
I didn't see this already, so I went through my follow list and made a Starter Pack for Women+ in geo & EO - very broadly.

I'm reminded how lopsided the gender divide is still in our field when I get 1 woman follower for every 10 men. It's particularly noticeable right now.

For the people migrating from twitter, curating who to follow is daunting.

Created my account on Saturday, did a keywords search & left as I coundn't find anyone or anything on CV, CVPR, LLMs, Geospatial & GeoAI.

Hopefully this helps anyone with similar interest
