My husband @robertcooper-us.bsky.social and I were the FIRST gay couple to adopt children in this country. We adopted our first baby back in 1985, and eventually adopted five in all. Here’s a pic of our two oldest kids meeting their younger brother for the first time. We later adopted twin girls! ❤️

For me, the thing that knocked the wind out of me with this election is that I dared to believe America would get it right THIS time, that America was ready for a Woman President.

I don’t want to jinx anything, but I’d say it’s a positive that I’m enjoying this app a little bit more every single day that I log on. Whereas, the “for you” page on twitter shows me a minimum of five posts an hour that make me consider activating the suicide by cop switch in my brain.
