50 years ago today, on 24/01/1975, jazz pianist Keith Jarrett walked on stage in the Köln opera house, sat down at a faulty Bösendorfer baby grand piano & produced a purely improvised live performance that would become the best-selling piano album of all time, released by ECM as The Köln Concert.
