Looks like another eruption is brewing on the Reykjanes peninsula. There's often a cluster of quakes north west Geldingadalir before an eruption.

This pic shows quakes since midnight on the Reykjanes peninsula. It doesn't seem like an eruption is imminent NE of previous eruptions, but it could happen at some time in the near future.

Link shows quakes for the last 5 days. www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...

The eruption near Grindavík has decreased to about nil. But with quakes heading north east it is looking like it might have a second eruption up that way.
April 1, 2025 at 5:15 PM
It seems to have stopped at that southern end, but quakes are continuing northwards so it looks like an eruption might happen further to the north east.

Still moving to the NE. This is worrying!

Quakes on the Reykjanes peninsula are continuing after the eruption this morning and extending NE of the eruption and previous fissures. The eruption seems to have reduced. Could there be a second eruption to the north?
