I don't take it for granted that I've never waited in line more than five minutes to cast my vote in my diverse, working-class, neighborhood. I also love how easy it is to vote by mail in California. But I still prefer voting in-person and seeing the other folks who live in my community at the polls

I'm finally on summer break after teaching two graduate courses to pre-service teachers! 🙌🏾
And one of the classes gave me orchids and a card filled with handwritten appreciations about how much they enjoyed our class. 🫶🏽🥹
I just hope that they also complete the course evaluations too. 🫠
