I had speech therapy today and we were working on word finding. The therapist asked me for five political positions and then asked me who held that seat. When she got the VP, the first name that came to my mind was Coach Fucker. I blame @dansavage.bsky.social Took me way to long to find "Vance."

About 2 hours before the Sounders CONCACAF Champions Cup match on Wednesday against Cruz Azul, we were informed by CONCACAF officials that they determined our "Black Lives Matter" flag to be racist and that it would not be allowed.

In February, one nonprofit got waivers for its programs supporting refugees in war-torn regions.

On Wednesday, the waivers were terminated.

In Somalia alone, its clinics served 1,200 patients/day.

On Thursday, all those clinics closed.

Donald Trump has already gone golfing 9 times, attended the Super Bowl, and had a his motorcade drive around the track at the Daytona 500 costing the American taxpayers tens of millions of dollars. He’s only been president for 30 days.

For comparison, Biden golfed once in his first 100 days.

This is absolutely horrific. With loss of USAID funding, in Kenya alone at least 40,000 health care workers will lose their jobs & Ethiopia’s health ministry has fired 5,000 HCWs who had been recruited under American funding. The outcome will be famines & outbreaks.

Now is a great time to read WIRED magazine’s 2015 feature story, “The Untold Story of Silk Road.”
