As today's prompt is 'lesson,' I drew an educational cartoon page from the early 20th century with some definitions. #inktober #inktober2025 #worker

People complaining games don't have a storyline while admitting they skipped all the dialogue 🙄

There's this unique tarot deck meant to seem like it's pulled right from emotion and subconscious thought on Kickstarter and it was made by a friend of mine. If you are interested in tarot you should check it out:

Doomscrolling includes less doom if you also follow cat content.

My feed is like three or for independent journalists doing the hard work of finding and reporting what's going on in US politics...

...followed by an adorable cat photo by @catsofyore.bsky.social

Both are necessary content to me.

I still follow politics pretty closely, and I have two different bsky accounts dedicated to sharing what I find (one for national politics, and one for local politics)

If you would like to follow either or both of them send me a dm.

I suppose I don't want to be a source of negative energy, perpetuating depression in doomscrollers.

Listen, if I have learned anything the past couple weeks it's that there is more love out there than anger. It doesn't seem that way but it's true.

News is saying Saturday's SLC protest the person driving the car who drove into the protestor "may have been intimidated because they were surrounded".

This isn't true. We have a video. Protesters didn't surround them or touch them until they ran the person over.

Right now BlueSky is a great, more secure option for social media. Unfortunately it is not as secure as Mastodon, however. If BlueSky gets compromised I recommend moving to a Mastodon server.

Your skills seem effortless to you because you’ve taken the time to hone them. Just because you can’t see that you’re great at what you do doesn’t mean it’s not visible.

Proud to have been a part of this. There IS still a United States. United in the ideas of Freedom, Democracy, and Justice for ALL. And we are rising against an administration who wants to rule without checks and tear us apart. To protect one another, we stand together.

Another great app worth mentioning is Aether. If you would like to create a Discord-like server where you and others are truly anonymous, a Peer-to-Peer server is fantastic. Just remember anonymity means anyone could be anyone, so this is less "secure" and more just "private".

If anyone is concerned about surveillance, the best SECURE messaging apps are Signal and Briar.

Signal is famously the most secure encryption and is run by a nonprofit.

Briar is decentralized so data never goes to a central server, encrypted or no. Only on Android though.

If you ever find yourself saying "Oh no, my chickies are charcoal! They'll never be tender again!"

...Then you have either:

A. Seen the English Dub of Stein's Gate

B. Developed the uncanny ability to quote it without having watched it

C. Watched it in another timeline

Honestly any of these programs and holidays are worth getting upset over.
But this does help people recognize the pandering to neonazism this administration is doing.

I considered not posting. After all, anyone who sees this probably already knows this stuff.

So I'm posting more as a vent.

Finished Mindcop. Fabulous game for anyone who wants some fascinating surrealism in their film-noir murder mystery. Clever, intriguing, and polished. Prepare three to five hours because you will not put it down until you finish a playthrough.
10/10 mindsurfs.

Constitution missing from the White House website.

Interesting how the page that had nothing but the U.S. Constitution on it "needed to be edited" and has taken longer to change than every other page of the site.

The Roman Republic fell to division and civil war, which was replaced by the Roman Empire, the beginning of the end of Rome.
