The difference between Republicans and Democrats is that the Republicans want to hurt the Democrats, and the Democrats want Republicans to have healthcare.

Just got home from a trip to visit family for Thanksgiving, it was fun but man my conservative uncle was such a drag. The rest of the family is self aware enough to keep things apolitical but this dude has such a lack of self awareness. Like the whole time he would watch shorts in common areas.

1. In April 2024, California raised the minimum wage for fast food chains to $20/hour

The industry claimed it would be devastating & require significant job cuts and prices increases

Here is what really happened: workers got a raise, prices went modestly, and the industry continued to add jobs
What really happened after California raised its minimum wage to $20 for fast food workers
What would happen to the fast food industry if it had to pay its workers something closer to a living wage?

I can't get over how people think Trump is going to fix the price of groceries when two of his policies (Tariffs on imports and deporting immigrants) are basically going to ensure that the price of everything skyrockets. Tariffs increase prices, and deporting reduces supply of local labor & goods.
