I've got a hotel room about a half hour away from the convention center. I'm driving there so I have a car. No couch, and I'm not willing to share the bed but I can pack an air mattress and pump. Checking in Thurs, checking out Mon morning.

I think the design team made a lot of creative and smart decisions for this set. Really shows the difference that having a team makes, and that's just the design side. Undoubtedly the game-play will be way, way better developed than what I was able to cobble together. I'm pretty excited to try it.

To be honest, I kind of thought there'd be more of these. Looking at it now, there are a lot of fundamental differences in the design file (the keyworded bending abilities, the ally theme, shrines, lessons) that trickled down (up?) into different choices for the marquee cards.

My white-green archetype was "non-human creatures and food". The official set doesn't have a full draft archetype around it, but there's "non-human" on a few cards here and there as well as food tokens.

Fun fact: flying dolphin fish don't appear in the original series. AFAIK their first appearance was in the Legend of Korra. But with a dearth of flying fauna to draw from...

Honestly? Good for her.

What should the big black common creature of the set be? I guess there weren't a lot of options.

I'm pretty sure that at some point, my design for the fortune teller was one-for-one the official design. But I couldn't resist a reference to the fateseal mechanic; it was just too perfect.

Those events happened in parallel, sure, but one wouldn't describe the Holocaust as a "toll of war".

What does it even MEAN to pass priority? When can you do that? When can't you do that? What even is time anyway?
