I spent an excessive number of years moderating a gaming forum and I learned a great deal about community spaces and cultivation, whether I wanted to or not. I have critical advice for anyone who runs a game store or gaming convention. Please share this thread with people who run those things.

I want to share my favorite of the Commander decks I built in 2025: Satoru, the Infiltrator. This is another Half-Dollar Commander deck, meaning that all the cards had to be 50 cents or less when I added them to the deck, and once a card hits $1 I have to take it out...

Hosted a small judge class at an LGS today (which went well) and then ended up being the sixth person for Standard. Haven't played the format since 2019. It was fun! I opened a Roaming Throne in the promo pack 🤑

Really interesting to see examples of convergent design between my old fan-made Avatar Magic set circa 2017-2020 and the WoTC-made one.

Look, the screenshot cards mostly look pretty crappy. But this one—what a slam-dunk reprint for this set. I was staring at this for multiple minutes, thinking, "no way is this an existing Magic card."

I take issue with titling a card depicting Monk Gyatso's skeleton as "Tolls of War". As Aang pointed out in Book 3 Episode 2, the air nomads didn't have a military. The Fire Nation invaded and committed genocide.
