My white-green archetype was "non-human creatures and food". The official set doesn't have a full draft archetype around it, but there's "non-human" on a few cards here and there as well as food tokens.

Fun fact: flying dolphin fish don't appear in the original series. AFAIK their first appearance was in the Legend of Korra. But with a dearth of flying fauna to draw from...

I'm pretty sure that at some point, my design for the fortune teller was one-for-one the official design. But I couldn't resist a reference to the fateseal mechanic; it was just too perfect.

Look, the screenshot cards mostly look pretty crappy. But this one—what a slam-dunk reprint for this set. I was staring at this for multiple minutes, thinking, "no way is this an existing Magic card."

I take issue with titling a card depicting Monk Gyatso's skeleton as "Tolls of War". As Aang pointed out in Book 3 Episode 2, the air nomads didn't have a military. The Fire Nation invaded and committed genocide.

TIL that they made retro colorless borders for some Innistrad Remastered cards. Bizarre!

Since those portions of 510.1c and 510.1d got removed, the citations to them in 702.2c (deathtouch) and in the definition of Lethal Damage in the Glossary are obsolete.

Lost a game of Commander last night to a Jaxis player who cast Molten Primordial and made a copy of it with Jaxis, stealing my Arcades & The Pride of Hull Clade, another player's Aurelia the Warleader & Tymna and dealt over 50 damage to me. It was awesome.

Unfortunately Teysa Karlov is approaching a dollar, so I have to take her out of my Half-Dollar Felisa deck. ☹️
Putting in Fell Gravship, though, and I think that'll be pretty cool. 😊

My next Commander deck getting taken apart is my old Oloro, Ageless Ascetic lifegain deck. It had one foot in 2012 and another in 2018; outdated, tired and uninspired. So long, Oloro. Perhaps one day in the future you'll again not leave the command zone.

Went 1-2 with Jeskai, 3-0 with Mardu, 3-0 with Temur, and 3-0 with Sultai at prereleases this weekend. The Sultai deck was really something else. Check this out:
