Oh boy. This is another different groundhog who I've named Gertie and I'm pretty sure she's Gus' mate and she's definitely living under my porch. I think I'm gonna see their behbehs soon. Is this bad?

You had it right, it was a sparrow. They do sound a lot like squirrels sometimes. They've been chasing each other around all morning trying to make sparrow behbehs.
But you know the Bluejays are VERY keen to notice when there's peanuts around. And willing to fight for them too.
