Driving my son (age 13) home from school we tuned into Cory Booker's speech just as he broke the record. I said it was messed up that the longest filibuster on record had been to protest civil rights. And he said, "Well, it's better now." Yes, it is. Thank you @booker.senate.gov.

Tariffs hit home this week. An order is now indefinitely delayed for my family. And the wonderful Canadian business we ordered from suffers as well. Not only did this tariff not save money, it is reducing the flow of money in both local economies in the United States and Canada.

Every single stupid conversation I’ve had with a scientist about anticipatory obedience and historical comparisons over the last week has had me thinking about how scientists’ political incompetence is one of the major arguments for a liberal arts education

Tip: if you're expecting a refund on your taxes file asap. The IRS systems were ancient to begin with before tech bro-lets started messing with them. And if you've received a tax refund by direct deposit in the past maybe consider moving the bulk of your funds elsewhere. That data is compromised.

Called my congressional rep in my R+20 distract yesterday to complain about the world's richest man having access to my data and the unconstitutionality of the spending pause/freeze/whatever. Will keep calling. Do the same.
