One week to go until the Acte Final on our new (and eventually primary) place in Béziers, France....Flight out is on Saturday - expect updates once I finally see the place in person (all of 16 hours before the Acte Final/closing).

Haven't posted for a while...because reasons. But: we now have a signed offer on a _gorgeous_ appartement in southern France! It's going to be about 5 years before the Big Move, but we now have a landing spot :-)
Just have to get through the next few months to the Acte Final...

Not to instill panic (he says, before instilling panic): You know those SMS messages for one of your accounts that you get out of the blue with a 2FA pin? Panic when you get one -- change the password on that account _immediately_. Shut the account down, if you can.

Cybersecurity tip of the day: 2FA is no longer enough if your 2FA uses an email account for the OTP -- you need the entire chain to be 2FA and at some point for there to be a true out-of-band channel (mobile, passkey, hard token, etc.)
