Ever have a story right on the edge of your consciousness?
I don't know what it's waiting for, but I can feel it haunting me. Need the muon trap or something -.^

Books are still being banned but most remain on shelves thanks to heroes who refuse to bow to censorship.

Librarians, teachers, students, and readers everywhere are keeping the flame of free expression alive.

Stand with them.

Speak out.

It’s #BannedBooksWeek and yes, even Octavia Butler and John Steinbeck made the banned list.

They tried to silence truth, empathy, and imagination.

Let’s prove they can’t.

What’s your favorite banned book?

Are you reading a banned book right now? Which one?

Been listening to this through libro.fm and Bookshop.org has it on sale right now. Excellent book with political and personal intrigue. The audiobook was well narrated as well!

I was talking to somebody about naming characters in historical stuff (20th century anyway) and she was blown away by this tip so I'm sharing: don't look up 90s names if it's set in the 90s. look up names from the decade your character was born in! because what you're getting is baby names

Feeling called to lore, myths, and fairy tales of times past lately. I cannot tell if it's in search of comfort or something else; regardless, it has been a fun indulgence to dive into a fairy tale for short time during the day.

I wish my-sit-down-and-write brain activated as well as my lay-down-go-to-sleep brain, 😅. Those 3 minutes before dreams take me are a creative chaos story dump from the back of my brain.

Then there's the choice: submit to sleep or risk the note taking and waking back up…

Writing summits are a joy. I can listen while I get things done (okay, I have to stop constantly to take notes, but still…,) learn new tactics (re-writing beast I will slay thee!,) and feel connected to other writers, a magical space for the weary writer's brain.
