The Celebrity Traitors - why oh why do the faithfuls not analyse previous voting patterns. Those are the clearest indicators of who are the traitors.

Reading the tributes to Diane Keaton is a welcome reminder of the value of kindness. A lasting legacy.

Diane Keaton will be missed. ”Well la-di-da”. RIP

Quite a coincidence that Medpro went into administration the day before it was fined £122 million.

💰 PPE Medpro must repay £122m for supplying defective PPE

⚖️ But it doesn’t stop with Baroness Mone. When will the ministers who referred their cronies onto the VIP Lane face consequences?

And so the cricket season ends…..

An extraordinary afternoon of cricket at Headingley today. So glad I was there to see the season put to bed, to see Yorkshire retain Division One status in emphatic fashion, and capture some memories to see me through until next April. Winter well!

Very sad to hear of the passing of “Dickie” Bird. A great character, pleased to chat to all at Yorkshire’s games. Also very generous. He donated the clock above the Western Stand, and followed that up with a massive donation to build the players’ balcony. RIP Dickie.

The COVID enquiry and last night’s ITV documentary shone light on a dark time - when billions of pounds of public money were shovelled into the pockets of private investors rather than public institutions - wasting existing expertise, wasting money, wasting lives in the process.
A number of labs initially got in touch with PHE, Alice.
Initial response was, as expected, supportive.
However, after further comms things suddenly fell silent.
No local NHS or university labs therefore helped, apart from those with freedom/resource.

Then, May. Dysfunctional lighthouse, too late.

Tories defecting to Reform are merely hedging their bets as to their best chance of being re-elected in 2029. If Reform really represents what they believe, they would have joined the National Front years ago.

Nadine Dorries leaves the Tories & joins ReformUK. The mean intellect of both parties increases as a result.

Just back from a night in Scarbados. (I’m not mentioning the cricket ☹️) My Premier Inn room even had a view of Scarborough Castle (and I wasn’t charged any extra).

Just been to the cinema to see ‘The Phoenician Scheme’. Absolutely crazy film.
This will be a cult film in years to come.
Go and see it, it’s Epping (several stops beyond Barking).

Simplistic I know, but why don’t countries affected by #Trumptariffs agree to trade more with each other, ignoring USA. Japan, China, Canada, European Union could all club together to resolve this ‘crisis’.

Only stupid and/or emotionally stunted people admire Donald Trump. Donald Trump only appoints people who admire him.
There's the rub.

I had 2 Ford Capris.
A 1971 1600 GT XLR in metallic blue and a 1975 3 litre in bronze with vinyl roof.
The former was stolen, stripped and scrapped.
The latter became rather expensive to run.
Loved driving both of them.
