I had a wonderful time at my first-ever @fancywomenbikeyeg.bsky.social! 👗👠💐🚲

This annual group ride in #Edmonton uses whimsy, flowers, and bikes to advocate for women-welcoming bicycle infrastructure.

Kudos to the organizers at @bikeology.bsky.social for hosting a very fun and fancy ride! 👏

People always ask "if we build it will they come?" City after city that builds active transportation infrastructure sees an increase in the number of people choosing not to drive.

The answer is yes. Safe, connected, well-designed mobility lanes empower choice and freedom of mobility.

Alberta Transportation Minister complaining about bike lanes in Edmonton, concerned only with motor vehicle traffic flow and connectivity.
Talk about a news cycle...

Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen is asking the City of Edmonton to stop any new bike lanes that could impact driving lanes.
