The information space has taken a sharp rightward shift. Facebook and Instagram de-emphasize political content. CNN went center right, and many major papers are only now beginning to cover trump negatively. The news of the chaos is not reaching the majority of voters.
This post will generate angry responses, insults. etc. But important info here. Outside the coasts/Beltway, it appears that SOME of what Trump is doing is generating support, is popular with his base. Politically complicates situation for Dems too. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-a...

Also: the naked contempt these companies have for their customers is truly repulsive. This is the time that the tech media should be up in arms and screaming at Meta! We are at the point where measurably harmful things are happening and there's still this bland, "well that happened" reporting

The author complains about a lack of randomized control trials and rigor in youth transition care, and then immediately cites a non randomized non peer reviewed observational study as evidence. Also, no change can be perceived as positive since dysphoria can worsen with development.

I used to think I didn’t like musicals.

Then the pandemic happened and I watched Singin’ in the Rain.

Then I watched so many musicals.

Turns out I was a fool.

Anyway I really loved Wicked.

This is a real tragedy. We’re quickly losing platforms for experimental audio work.

Again, any retailer can do this, but Mr. "I forbade WaPo from endorsing Kamala because I didn't want to piss off Trump" seems unlikely to follow through on this particular strategy.

We already saw his lack of balls.
If Bezos had real balls he’d explicitly list the estimated tariff markup on every item in the store with a number to call your member of Congress next to it, like Uber did with taxi regulations

Transit advocates sleep on the people moving power or the bus. They’re a lot more efficient than cars and slot neatly into the existing transportation infrastructure landscape. Disinvestment and bad implementations created bad associations, but when they’re done right everyone uses them (NJTransit)

This was true before 2022 but in the past 2-3 years it’s taken a nosedive. The algo has a bias towards repetition and against exploration. They also cut pay rates for smaller artists, so there’s even less of a financial incentive to publish on the platform.
