The GOP’s “Big Beautiful Bill” is Robin Hood in reverse: it takes from the poor to give to the rich.SNAP (used to be Food Stamps…which Tabby and I used back in 1972) is gone. Medicare is going.

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

Agreed! We were at the game and she was in control and very court-aware the whole game. Excited to see how she does in the NCAA tournament.
Watching WBB A-10 championship and convincing myself Paula Suarez from George Mason is the Spanish Caitlin Clark.

One of the keys to cooking is knowing what’s not enough salt & what’s too much salt.

I’ve been cooking semi-seriously for 15 years & I’m still struggling with this.

If your argument is "sure, a terrible modern event has a parallel in the 1920s and 30s but don't worry we turned out just fine", might I suggest reading about the 1940s.

Just have to say that the $Trump meme coin is a gift to all of us who are not fans of his.

It’s just a matter of time until a lot of people lose money from this.

I’m a crypto fan. This is not crypto any more than Madoff was just buying and selling shares of stock

I will never cease to be amazed by books. Seriously. Just think about it; thousands of people read the same book, but in everyone’s brain’s the characters look different, the setting changes etc. We are all reading the same thing, but it's so unique to each of us.
That is a beautiful thing.

If you don’t have a local library card, it should be your New Year’s resolution to get one. It’s an easy resolution to keep and you’ll actually use it, trust me.
