Amidst rough news, I can at least say that @durrymusic.bsky.social has brightened my Friday.

I absolutely love the cartridge the cassette came in and just finished my first listen through on my restored walkman. No skips.

A slightly mustard-yellow N64-inspired cassette cartridge labeled “DURRY 2” with the band members in low-poly form laying over top of the backside of Durry’s “This Movie Sucks” wrapped vinyl. The vinyl image is a late 90s scene complete with wood panelling walls, an entertainment cabinet with an old box TV atop a VCR. A grey N64 controller lays beside the TV/VCR stack. Two of my favorite political memes from the Retro post. The first is a solid reminder for all (it resonates extra for me as I finish up one of my re-readings of 1984). The second, I am just a sucker for Star Wars. They wish they could hold the gravitas of James Earl Jones and David Prowse as Vader.

Darth Vader has his black gauntlet with his index finger outstretched to her, nearly a jab to Princess Leia’s face.
