Here's my top 10 movies. Are these really the 10 best movies since 2000? Probably not. Are they even my 10 favorite movies since 2000? They are as far as I could quickly recall on this particular Tuesday morning...

One of the great joys of this season is Christmas Cookies. When you set out to #prepare a batch, especially when your children are helping, you are whisked away to moments in memory that help fill out the joy and warmth of the season. And then you give most of them away! It's the best. #AdventWord

#Joy is knowing that every year your tree is connected to the closest friends and colleagues in this vocation that you will ever know. #AdventWord

There is something unique about the way our children experience #safety in our arms. A simple "I've got you" can calm, reassure, quiet the fear. How many times did Mary whisper "I've got you" to Jesus, I wonder. #AdventWord ⚓ (photo credit: Tim Bish from unsplash)

How do we define #faithfulness in today's world? Perhaps we should look at who is meeting the Christ child in the world vs who is simply making an appearance for their own sake... #AdventWord ⚓ (photo: volunteers @ St. Stephen's Longview WA getting ready to give food the week before Thanksgiving)

A connection that allows us to be inspired, hope-filled, that allows us to share snark and complaints, that allows us to engage in conversation with like-minded folks. Social media has become evil. I #earnestly hope that bluesky can be not-evil. #AdventWord ⚓ (photo: mt st helens with a blue sky)

I'm not much of a gardener, but there is something magical when seeds #sprout from the earth. They hope they embody. It reminds me of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" 🎵The hopes and fears of all the years, Are met in thee tonight🎵 May your hopes in the Christ child #sprout once more #AdventWord

It is these lessons of #redemption that must be internalized and realized to develop personal resilience and an understanding of what it means to be a true leader and teammate, building community, building self, through accountability and personal growth. #AdventWord

I have strong opinions on Christmas trees. When the options #abound on a farm those opinions are only further reinforced. But, every tree is a good tree. Every tree is a bringer of hope. Every tree is a bringer of light. May your tree bring light and hope this season. ⚓ #AdventWord

Jesus came in great humility to walk among us. How do we follow in this humility? How do we take on the call of Advent to engage in humility with the world, with our neighbors, with creation? This is our challenge this and every year. #AdventWord #Episcopal ⚓ Photo, Kyle Cleveland, Unsplash
