@jamesgunn.bsky.social what’s more impressive, 10 million people who watched the movie or a random number of people who collectively viewed 1.6 billion minutes of the movie with no way of knowing if they actually watched it all? Why do streaming metrics only talk minutes?

Warner Bros/ WBD remains the most incompetent and stupid production company of all time. They’d rather spite audiences, actors, writers, and directors than make hundreds of millions of dollars that THEY NEED to get out of BILLIONS in debt. Fucking unreal. March 15th, get the fuck outta here. BS.
DUNE: PART TWO is delayed with a new release date of March 15, 2024. 🎥

Finally caught up with ASTEROID CITY. While far from my favorite Anderson cut, I still remain one of the filmmaker’s biggest fans. I’m consistently right on his wavelength, and this one was no exception to that. Last 30 minutes are superb.

Since we’re watching BvS UE this scene with Kevin Costner can’t be overlooked. Clark’s fortress of solitude is an internal one and this scene holds so much weight. I truly don’t think people were ready for this movie when it came out. Its themes and discussion are so much deeper the CBM today.

It was Ben Affleck’s birthday so why not celebrate the best Batman we’ve had in live-action. Bummed he never got to make his Batman film but I think it’ll be a long time before an actor really embodies the physical

Submitted the following while sitting at the airport. Was asked for my top ten films of the 1990s. An impossible task, but this isn’t too bad in my opinion. Would of course be almost entirely different if I did this again tomorrow, but I’m more than okay with this one tonight. 🥰

The Batman has so many incredible shots, but watching him lead the citizens to safety & then carrying that woman to the stretcher was something special. The way she clings to him & how that affects him is incredibly moving, inspiring a belief in himself & showing that he can inspire hope.

Review is out and up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem! Was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this and missed the Turtles. They felt like teens this time and the world Rogen helped create is full of life and emotion. Awesome art styles as well!

There’s no universe where Avengers: Endgame is better than Avengers: Infinity War. I don’t care that it’s the culmination of x amount of years of MCU films. Infinity War is objectively a better story and complete film. Endgame has amazing moments, but it’s also just Marvel’s best hits.

Every other month Rolling Stone continues to push the envelope with another wild and horribly ranked list 😅 There’s just so much going on here that doesn’t add up. Their lists are genuinely insane 😂

Disney's second attempt at a HAUNTED MANSION movie never truly decides what it wants to be.

A disappointment, considering all involved.

Disney returns with a remake of Haunted Mansion, underutilizing its PG-13 rating & finding a large imbalance in tone. Devoid of any real terror or scares, the film finds a few moments of hope in its approach to discussing grief & how to move forward.

Can’t remember the last time I saw a movie and felt compelled to seek out the source material afterwards. Haven’t bought a non-comic book in a very long time 😅 Nolan really did something incredible with Oppenheimer. For the life of me I can’t stop thinking about it. Brilliant stuff.

The DUNE 2 trailer in IMAX was absolutely mesmerizing and Warner Bros. better not fucking move this movie 😅 How petty can one company be that they’d move 3 films to next year because of the strike. They’d rather push releases and lose more money than actually just paying their actors & writers.
