My company just spent about 50 grand flying people around the country for a bunch of client christmas parties but wouldn't drop $80 for a Snagit licence for me.

As a gen-xer who was forced into 6 days of word for windows training in the early 90's it was completely predictable that during the end of days people would lose the ability to insert section breaks or format hanging indents
Someone for the love of all that is holy explain to me how you insert page numbers in a Word document starting at a page OTHER than Page 1. (Ie, if you want the page numbers to begin AFTER a table of contents or similar.) I have seen 2 six-minute-long explainers on YouTube and neither method worked

Impossible to overstate the levels I have just gone to in my lunchtime toasted sandwich odyssey.
Not even going to post a pic because the timeline would just straight up flip out.

White ladies don't want to admit this but divorced middle aged men are the apex cat owners simply for the amount of time we spend on the couch.
Cope.

Really cool that Microsoft is rolling out AI to Paint when it still doesn't have an option to make an image background transparent.
Everyone's heads are up their arses in this industry now.

The next financial crisis will be caused by the AI bubble, I think that's pretty clear now.
I've been using the tools heavily over the past two months and they are just not improving in fact in some cases getting worse.
Companies are never going to get the ROI.

Remember when you would go to the cinema and you had the choice of seeing a Meg Ryan movie or a Julia Roberts movie?

While some tech companies are pouring their billions into generating endless AI slop, Apple is making some of the best television I have ever seen.
