Council proclaimed Sept. 30 as Every Child Matters Day or Orange Shirt Day. MLT High School Indigenous Student Union representatives Riley Guthrie & Elizabeth Herrmann were among those who accepted the proclamation.

Incumbent MLT Councilmember Rick Ryan is 3 votes ahead of challenger Sam Doyle in the Nov. 7.

Doyle has been slowly catching up, who was about 250 votes behind Ryan on Nov. 5.

I turn 50 next year, and my premium will go up to more than $1000/month from $400/month.
I put off doing the inevitable…I called my insurance provider.

My current premium is $480. It will be almost $900 next year.
