I sit between ideas, products, and disciplines to find an answer that most would not.
This should be a fun talk to write.

Picked these two #dnd products tonight. It’s neat to see Hobbits still a playable race. Curious how the reprint in 79 of Wizard’s Aide didnt shift it.

These have me thinking about #wargames and “regional dialects” of wargaming. Strategos and Stratagos N, Kriegspiel, all the variants.

Sometimes you try and find a meeting time for 8 people and stumble onto a lego in the middle of the night...

I want this giant monitor that doesn't exist so I can display AM's speech.

I went on a 5 year hunt that ended last year for a toy my grandma bought for me because M.A.S.K. Wasn’t in stock anymore.

This little yellow cube guy was a friend to all my M.A.S.K. toys.

The world of Jeff is filled with wonder.

So Kristen recently finished her first ultra marathon. 50 miles around Canandaigua Lake.

It was absolutely inspiring to see her really run through the buildup of trauma over the last 3 years of us being in Rochester.

Transformative.

Jeff has really grown up so fast. She’s deciding that cuddles and chilling in windows owns.

(it does)

When what a person says and what a person believes that person meant is in disagreement, some believe the fault is the listeners. Then power gets in the way of negotiation.

I think a lot about Alphonso Lingis during these times.

That design and communication share this issue is a feature.

Why aren't we talking more about thnickles?

Though maybe this works better.

Robinson Crusoe & Friday, the Other Island form the foundation of my work. It is always there

On the one hand, re-establishing modernity in the midst of disaster is seen as heroic and wanted.

On the other, it is a prison we must learn to escape when disaster allows us to see outside of culture.

This scene is finally in the anime and it didn't disappoint at all.

Back when we first met, we used to go to "Jo on the Go" in San Marcos for coffee. It's since closed but we had a business card of an artist we liked who had art there.

Just after we lost Joe (middle), she had this commissioned. Jackson left us mid-seizure years ago.

Most important object we own.

Sent our oldest kitty across the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.

Last of the original cats we picked up as we worked from Kristen's dad's passing to vet and grad school

They all helped us deal with tumultuous times.

Our new boys will as well but losing this boy is recognizition of the innocence we had

It's my birthday today and we drove to a tiny town in New York to go to a bookstore. Picked up two books that are important to me and my work.

A system of natural philosophy from 1844 and
Robinson Crusoe from 1790.

Stoked as hell.

For a long time, the group I used to play #ttrpgs with used to sneak Tom Skerritt into every game we played as an NPC. Every time he'd show up the whole table would enter into a chorus of, "He's a damn fine lookin man!"

And so now every time I hear his name or see him in something, I say it. Weird

It took two years, but I’ve finally covered my office door in pop culture stickers and game box art.

Jeff is now comfy in the whole house and is providing guidance as to how best serve her, the cat in charge.

Greg really gets the whole, "I'm such an awkward person. I don't know how to show someone i'd like to be their friend."

But as a cat.

Jeff and him are gonna be super awkward pals for sure.

Jeff is currently sick of her living arrangement. She's about to get a taste of total freedom though.

Trust fall.

Finally got a cord long enough to activate my Flynn's Arcade sign above my office door...and more stickers.
